Keith, this a good thing?

Never said it was a good thing, though that will depend on who you are. Personally, I never had any problem with Jack. I know that you did, and understandably so.

Keith ... who knows, maybe he'll come back a changed man.

Yeah, and I have some swampland for sale in Arizona. You interested?

jack was a good guy imho and at least as far as my dealings with him always a gentleman, dont know about others problems, but he always did me right. if memory serves he was never accused of thievery only of being too pushy/calling late/asking ya to post fav comments in GBU/at least to some an abrasive attitude/being a dealer(of knives no pun intended!!)in otherwords lack of some social skills, give a guy a break.

EM me jack if ya see this would love to hear from ya and happy '04

greg in round rock texas

PS and he didntwritelikethishewrote LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME LOL.

He posted like that on purpose just to get under people's skin. In the many emails I got from him, he used perfect punctuation and employed proper use of capital letters.

I never had a problem with Jack and really enjoyed talking with him. We did some great deals and I have absolutely no regrets. The center piece of my modest collection came from him and, hell, he let me make payments while I had the knife in hand!

I spoke to his mom last year, trying to get in touch with Jack just to say "Hi", but she was unable to give me any contact info.

If any of you are in touch, please have him give me a call, my numbers still the same and is in the book.

TIA!

Unfortunately, I was one of the unlucky ones to see his other or bad side.

I never gave him my home phone #. . .had seen others post about his telephone/late night tactic's ! :barf:

In my dealing(s) with him. . .I found him to be extremely pushy, overly aggressive, abrasive, demanding, etc.

It almost seems that his personality was like a light switch. . .in that it depended on who he was dealing with.

As far as his grammar skills (in e-mails). . .moot point. If he posted, on the forums, in the manner that he did just to get under people skin. . .that's sad !

Some people change. . . . .some people don't.

AMEN. . .to that !

dr jeckyle and mr hyde, lol, i think sometimes he just got excited like a big kid when doing deals, nothing personal (i dont think)and yes, he didnt normally write or talk like he posted, he only did that to piss people off, thats what he told me,i dont think he could figure why it bothered some folks. and no matter what he said, i do know it did hurt his feelings that so many folks jumped on him, i doubt he'll ever post here again.

he certainly was a character i will say that. also he really went outta his way to be nice to my wife, she still asks about him, he would call and talk to her a sec 'fore asking for me, unlike most of my buds. or on second thought maybe he was hitting on her!?!?!?

nah, surely not................

dont forget, if ya are looking for a knife, jax - ur- man lol

I had my problems with Jack, as many will recall. We took care of most of it privately, and as far as I am concerned, it's all in the past with no hard feelings.

I personally have no problems with him posting here again. I would prefer to see him do it in the way many of you have said he writes his e-mails, in a flowing easy to follow manner. Posting hard to read threads just to aggrivate people is pretty immature, IMO.

I don't know the details of his past. I'm not sure I care either way. I know I will never buy, sale, trade anything with him. I still think if he wants to come back, people should step aside and let him prove himself. He wants to continue to be abrasive and rude to irriate people, then call him on it. If he comes back in a polite and helpful manner, I think we should all welcome him. We may never forget the past, but we can forgive.

There's enough fine, honorable people here at Bladeforums that I see no reason to deal, or associate, with someone who does something just to get under people's skin.

Exactly.

I hope he never returns. I had so damn many complaints about him I lost count.

Jack, if you're reading this...

Edna and I will be displaying our RMK collection at the following knife shows this year...

Knife Expo, Buena Park, CA. Feb. 20-22, '04
Oregon Knife Show, Eugene, OR. April 17-18, '04
Bay Area Knife Show, Palo Alto, CA. Aug. 21-22, '04

If you're in the neighborhood, please, be a good sport and drop on by. IIRC, you were way beyond rude while screaming threats and obscentities at me, on the phone, late at night...

As such, I'd like to set the record straight with you, face to face.

All the best,

'Mel'
