Thank you very much James, you are very kind :)

LF&C top left, Case 6214-1/2 lower left - both around 3-3/8". In the size range that I like for traditional knives (being 3" to 4"), that 3-3/8" closed length on these jacks is about ideal for just about anything to me. I also like it best when the pen/secondary is in front.

Nice knifes.

This model of Case Jackknife might not get much fanfare, but Next to a yellow Case trapper and a Buck 110, this has to be right up there with one of the more popular knives carried, at least here where I live. The 22087 almost deserves a thread of its own. I really like it, nice knife and the right size.

I'll echo your sentiments for the most part. I don't see anybody carrying one around here but I was gifted one awhile back and I regret letting it go. The as ground blades were great, got really sharp, both blades were centered in their channels, and man that knife had some great snap.

I don't remember who I gifted it to but I'm sure they must be enjoying it as much as I did. Awesome knife and an excellent value.

A couple of Cases.

Outta curiosity, do peanuts count or are they considered a different species of big blade, little blade, single pivot knife?

At 3.25" closed, I think this ol' guy I'm working on fixing up is too big to be a peanut but he meets the definition in the OP.

They certainly count as Jack Knives - Small Serpentine Jack

Thank you much. *tips hat*

(Peanuts have their own thread same as barlows, though, so I'll save my peanut photos for their proper place of residence. Just wanted to know for future reference.)

That was the Cult of the Texas Jack: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...-the-peaNUTS-get-all-the-glory?highlight=cult

The thread has been dormant for quite a while. TedderX's knife in the first post is the exact same frame as the Texas Jack, so would fit in that thread, but this one is more about all jacks and not just the squared-bolster serpentine jack.

I'll contribute:

This is a Case 6235 1/2 Jack, which is essentially the same knife as their Barlow, but with two bolsters of normal size:

Also - Jack knives can be single bladed. If you just want a thread about 2-blade jack knives, that's fine, but you should edit the title.

Here's a group of jacks:

Does that Barlow/Jack have a name from Case or just a pattern number?

Case small coke bottle

Very nice! I've never heard of a coke bottle but I like it! What dimensions is it?
