I was gonna say the same thing. That honestly was his best role. He stepped out of his "I'm Tom Cruise the d*uche bag actor" persona.
 
I refuse to watch any movie with him in it no matter what else good it may have in it. He is a grade A Freak Scumbag and a little one at that. Can we say Napoleon syndrome for the little man?
 
Although it never made it to the bigscreen, I think his best work was his little known role as the famous Mexican Midget wrestler, Pequeña Unidad which translates into "little unit". Very convincing performance, even if the wig is a bit much. :thumbup:

I agree. Heard quite a few gasps from the audience throughout the first scene.

Busses were in the glass counter at Duvall's range - you'll see 'em on the close ups when they're talking and looking at targets. I spotted a Team Gemini and what looked like the Argon Assault.

I saw the movie and thought it was the dull, shallow and uninteresting. It was the most boring movie that I have seen in years. The first 5 minutes are great, but it goes down hill from there and sinks under the weight of endless/pointless dialog. Even the rare action scenes are dumb enough to put you to sleep.
As for knives, there is a scene where Tom Cruz is handed what looks like a kabar mark II, which he promptly looses; that pretty much sums up the knife content.

I loved Tropic Thunder, but won't watch a movie where he was the lead actor. I find him glib.

I would love to see a screen shot of the Busse's.
 
I gotta agree on the Tropic Thunder! That was hilarious. On a side note, I'll never watch Top Gun again! Way back when I was in college, some friends and I went out for an evening of heavy drinking. Well, I lived in the dorms at the time, & when the bars closed, I went back to my dorm room, intoxicated of course, to find my room mate masturbating to Top Gun! No S***! And it wasn't even the sex scene, it was the big dog fight at the end!!!:eek: Scarred me for life! Even the guitar song brings back horrible memories! [Shudders]
