Ok yall. I been having the new knife bug and trying to figure out what I want to tide me over till a couple customs come in. JW bennys clip caught my eye. I’ve been wanting to try s90v for awhile, even tried a bugout but it’s just not my style. Although, the benny clip isn’t either it’s a lot closer to normal for me.

What do yall think about these? Yes I know they are made in china. Let’s ignore that fact, for sake of this discussion, please. How’s the heat treat on them? Is the stock too thick, in your opinions? How’s it slice? How’s quality?

I have a couple of them. The quality is top notch. The blades are thin, and most of them are a convex or full flat grind, so they're good slicers. I can't say I've done a ton of heavy cutting with them, but there's been no signs of a bad heat treat so far.

……..same. Have put my few JWKs through the hands of two highly rated makers here in UK and they couldn’t believe the fit n finish, especially at the price range.

As for cutting, awesome. Admittedly, no prolonged arduous tasks, but nothing to show the quality of steel or HT below standard thus far

I bought a Bionic Jack, which is a front flipper frame-lock. It is beautiful with a thin grind, and the action is so smooth and easy I can whip the blade out just by a strong brush of my finger.

Since buying though, I decided that the shape of it's clip point is too upswept and fat at the tip for my liking. And I've found myself wishing I'd bought a slipjoint model instead with a different blade shape.

I recently bought a M390 QSP Hedgehog sheepsfoot slipjoint in titanium and carbon. It has an even thinner hollow grind than my Jack Wolf, and it was a third of the price.I haven't had the QSP knife that long, but so far I've not seen where that extra $200 is missing compared to the Jack Wolf. Yeah, no S90V but that's not a $200 option.

JWK are manufactured by Reate, so that's a good chunk of the price. They're widely considered to be the best Chinese OEM out there, and their services come at a premium over the others. The finishing options can add a fair amount to the price as well. Things like hand satin and DLC just cost more to produce.
I think you might have been looking at the wrong knives when you priced them out. The Frame locks are $350, but the slip joints are only $300. The M390 Hedgehog is $145, so that's really only a $155 difference.

In my case, I paid $350 for the Bionic Jack and got the Hedgehog on sale for $110.

The knives aren't apples to apples anyway, I was just trying to say that in the small selection of higher end Chinese titanium folders that I've experienced, the QSP is seeming just as nice to me for way less price.

The satin finish on my Bionic is way nicer and more defined than the Hedgehog, though, I'll give em that.
