It's amazing that the #77 seems to be the one that everybody wants. There are so many other barlows but I guess this is just a favorite.

The 77 is a little large for my taste. I bought this thinking I'd gift it to my son on graduation. But in the interim he has realized, and so informed me, that he has zero use for or interest in, traditionals. Plenty of other knives he likes, but slipjoints and lockbacks don't make the cut. Truly, youth is wasted on the young.

It's possible. He's into striped bass fishing big time, and really likes the old traditional wooden plugs. So there may be hope.
