i got a lot of black paper from papathud back when he was just a kid. still have a few around here some where's :confused: :confused:

found one the other day stuck to the bottom of my desk, smelled like licker and had sticky hand prints all over it. i thought i sold it years ago....
 
T, I love your Jacks. Just the way they are.

The longer I have this addiction, the more I respect and admire the old steel. Don't monkey with perfection.

I particularly like the various Snakes (especially that Rattler) and the Black Paper. Classics are, well, Classic! :thumbup:

Great collection you've got there! I somehow managed to snag one of your throw-away Satin jacks a while back, via another very hoggish forum member. :thumbup:

I see a few others I wouldn't mind getting my hooves on though!

As for the ZTSJ, I say keep it the way it is!

By all means, swap out for Black Paper.

It looks better and raises the value of the remaining standard ones, just a little.

What Skunk got, was the first Black Paper SJ and a selection of other Busse knives in Black Paper.

It was tough to get Him to slow down back then, He always wanted more.

I spoke with Him on the phone at some length, talking about the Joy of the Hunt.

He just said, "Send Me Three of this knife, the Guys on Blade Forums said that I would never find one of these for sale"

I remember telling Him the I had knives "For Sale, Not On Sale"

Still, He did eventually get His revenge, I only sold Him one Busse Sword, He sold me Nine.

Why do I have the feeling that years from now we'll be saying the same thing about T when WE'RE the old hogs, Tony G is in a carbon-fiber wheelchair, Skunk's mustache is on Grandsuave's mantel, Cobalt's cigar collection is being auctioned off at Sotheby's, and Guyon's stump is sitting in the Smithsonian next to PapaThud's SHBA collection? :confused::D:D:D

You forgot my fine, old-style oscilloscope and high spectroradiance CO2 laser.

I plan on leaving them to the National Science Foundation. But only if they'll name one of those classy new men's rooms after me.

What can I say? Some guys get a Law, some guys get a Theorem ... I'll settle for a men's room. :D

I could never forgot you, brother. I actually thought about you long and hard. You're just so damned secretive I couldn't think of anything to associate you with...except for your security clearance, and on second thought I figured it'd be best for both of us if I just didn't mention that. :D
 
I really appreciate all the input. I have worked hard to get these and others with viable handles slabs and after receiving the Cross sheaths from Xaman.

I lost my desire to switch the slabs. Funny how things work out.

Especailly, after all the input.

Still, not sure if some are not giving Hogus answers, but anyway thanks for the input, and positive feedback.
