Wow, that's an impressive collection here! I am no expert nut I bet many of those are antique, if not all of them. Say Charlie what's the story behind the "Campagna & Son" knife? Was that your dad's?

Campagna & Son Wholesale Grocers was the family business, started by my Grandfather Giuseppe (b 1870 in Sicilia) in Buffalo, NY after WWI. "Son" was my Dad's (b 1911 in Buffalo) oldest brother, Vincenzo (b 1896 in Sicilia)!! They contracted Camillus to make that promotional cutlery!! Nonnu Giuseppe, and family immigrated at the turn of the century, and worked as a brick mason, until he started the business!

Amazing Charlie, what a fascinating piece of history, and a wonderful heirloom :) One of my Great Great Grandfathers is in Tweedale. He is listed as a cutler, but so far as I know, he was more of a shopkeeper, who sold cutlery, among other things

Apologies folks, my internet connection has been down, and have been offline, and lost a couple of posts to this thread. Thank you for the kind words :)

Kirkstall has an amazing history!!

My wife didn't like it, but I found a better home for it!! :D

Here's to better internet service for you, Jack!!
I think it's great Charlie! :D Thank you my friend :)

My recollection is that what we Yanks call "relish" they call "pickle" over there. So the thing they call "relish" - what is it like? Do we have a name for it (or something similar to iy)?

It's a little like Worcestershire sauce with less pepper. 🤷‍♂️

I wasn’t going to be the one to say the “W” word. 😉🤣
