handle: blast finish OD micarta over white G10 over black G10
handle thickness: 6/5 (handle is 1 1/8" wide at the swell, but fully sculpted and very comfortable. It doesn't "feel" oversized)
hardware: stainless pins and tube
sheath: includes right handed JRE sheath with dangler and firesteel loop.
This knife does not fit the ALV sheath due to the extra thick handle. Kydex and Hand made leather options are available.
I began making PL knives in 2016. I've done leather work for over 20. I added kydex to my repertoire in the last few years. 3V blades are heat treaded by Peter's using a low temp temper with cryo protocol that yields improved edge stability and a hardnes of 61-62 Hc. Scales are glued with West Systems G-flex epoxy. My aim is to produce heirloom quality tools with excellent craftsmanship that will provide a lifetime of enjoyment and service.
