Jake Wilson and the whittler.

Maybe it's just me, and wishing to be back in a simpler time. I think things have gone to far, and need to be cranked back a couple of decades. It shouldn't be like this, nor do I thnk it has to be like this. Part of the problem this country is in, is because of a total break down of moral values, and life being lived far too fast. People need sit on a back porch with their kids more.

Great story jackknife.

Dont know how you do it, but you write your stories so that I can see it happening in front of me. They take me away to another, simpler time.
There are just a few authors that have that effect on me.

Peter

Thats the truth. Makes me remember back t my younger years when people were more freindly and had more character. People around here, just worry about having cool gadgetss, cloths, music. and ect.... I guess I am a weirdo since those thing don't interest me in the least.

Thanks for another wonderful story; you have a great gift in your writing style that is able to draw the reader in.

:thumbup: Jackknife, absolute GEM!!!! and the statement that times are WAY too fast and furious dead on!!!

Thank you Jackknife. Very fine story! You need to publish a book of these stories. I would buy one of your books. Like someone else said this takes you back to a simpler and nicer time. That is what I like about traditional knives.

Wittling. Is that kind of carving small detailed things. Or do wittling and woodcarving mean the same thing. /Bosse

By the way. Jackknife thank you for this story. It was as usual very well written and thinkworthy.

+1 on the book. I'd buy that in a second. Several copies actually. My grandpa and a couple uncles are fans of yours as well.

Man, I just started reading these and all I can say is wow. I think if you could consolidate all your stories and publish them, they would sell like hotcakes.

From what I understand,
Whittling is with all types of knives, folding, fixed and bent.
Wood carving is with chisels and gouges

I have learned to wait until I have the time that these stories deserve before I read them.

Thank you JK. You make this place a better place than it would be without you and your writings.
