Hucks are SOLD
First up to bat today!
James Huckeba (Huck) started making custom knives in Georgia in the 70's. Made fixed blades initially but in the 90's he started making switchblades. I stumbled across pictures of his knives on Dalton forums and really liked them. Recently bought a small collection of his knives.
Huck died in 1996 so its hard to find information on the internet about him. I have talked with a lot of dealers and collectors who were around during the 90's and his knives were some of the nicest made in that time period. There are scattered references about him if you care to search. If you talk to collectors or dealers from the Southeast part of the country they know him and admire his work.
The Basics- mirror polished blades
- Micarta frames
- Coil springs, button release
- Wood handles
- File work on blades and spine (looks like H's)
- Marked "Flash H 94" (Flash is reference to a dealer, Gordon Wofford that sold a lot of Huck switchblades)
- Don't know the blade material (my guess is ATS 34, I bought a fixed blade Huck earlier this year and the dealer told me ATS 34 on that knife. That was according to a maker, Steve Poole, that apprenticed with Huck)
- Both knives are in excellent condition, never carried or used.
See picture with the measuring tape for size. 1st I'll take it posted here followed by PM gets em!
Were $225 each, Now $200 each usps money order or paypal. I'll cover paypal fees, shipping, insurance and delivery confirmation.
