Jan 12 (112)

Here is a rare 112 Ranger made for BCCI in 2011. Build quantity of 75.
Red (plum) Paperstone handle, barehead nickel silver finger groove frame, and a S30V drop point blade.
Hard to pick a favorite but this one is high on the list.

Back in 2017 I swung by the Smoky Mountain store on my way back to St Louis from Maryland after Thanksgiving Holiday. Picked up 4 of these 112's and lucked out with sale pricing. Brass and smooth bone with a Nickel Silver Inlay. Runs of 150, the other colors were Blue, Purple, and Red. There was another similar issue with drop point blades.

One last 112 before midnight here. I have a couple/few 112's, but this one...

This one gets the most pocket time, and goes camping with my son and I. One time we were rafting with his scout troop, and I flew off the raft into the river. Thankfully, I'd left my knife and phone in a dry-bag which stayed in the raft. Glad I didn't lose my knife that day!

The squared off handles feel great, and I don't need the nail nick anyway. It's just a standard production knife. Nothing too special about it, but it's absolutely fantastic!

Nice, and knives are even better when they have stories!

My first 112 was an old squared edges one (top one in my pic above). I was convinced that that was the way to go as it sort of locks in position in your hand. But after getting a couple more modern ones, I don't find myself carrying the squared one at all anymore. The rounded edges are so much more comfortable to me.

Oh yeah! The rounded edges are great too. Nothing against updates. My problem is that each of these is my absolute favorite.
