January 18th (Let’s see some Buck 118 Personals)

These photos are fantastic. I am kicking myself for not bringing my 118 hunting with me today. Tomorrow is the last day of gun season and I shot a doe this morning. I used a 121 and 391 to clean her. I should have thought ahead a little more and brought my 118 to use on January 18. With all of the beautiful knives already shown, I am a little embarrassed to show this one that I put a new handle on.

That’s absolutely gorgeous. I love leather handled knives. Honestly wish I had the nerve to try to rehandle a Buck.

It really isn’t hard. Removing the handle and glueing the leather on are easy. The pommel is the worst part. The pommel pin can be tricky to remove and get back in properly. Find a used beater and try it. The older models where the pommel pin is distinct makes it easier to remove.
