Lorien, I was thinking of using black ray skin, but I was afraid too dark the whole knife, perhaps it would have been good anyway. Another thing, in principle, the string would be another color (ivory color) and I used this because I found it more enjoyable.
If used the ivory stringing the same would be black !!! Maybe in the next...
