Japan

I could be wrong, but I believe the White Box spyderco's are supposed to be sold in Japan Exclusivley. Such as the CF Cricket and some others.. Please correct me if I'm wrong I would like to know for sure as well!!! ~baba~

Yes, there are Spyderco knives made just for the Japan market. Several of the Ladybugs and Jesters, the Titanium and ATS-34 Delica and I believe there was a Ti and ATS-34 Police as well that were not imported to the US. There is a link floating around here somewhere to a dealer in Japan that a number of people here have ordered from.

Interesting information, I would like to hear more.

I have a realative who may be going to japan in the fall.

A few others that come to mind are the PE versions of the VG-10 Harpy and ATS-55 Mariner, the "Everest" Worker (Worker blade in a kraton inlaid SS handle like that of the Pro-Venator), the rainbow anodized SS Cricket, and the Pirka...

...which was made exclusively for Mont-Bell, a Japanese Outdoor Store. I'd describe it as a Kraton inlaid FRN Pro-Grip handle with a different shaped blade. Am sure there are others as well. Then there are also models which, although once sold in the US, have been discontinued here but still appear to be produced for the Asian market.

One other thing, I have never been to Japan, but have heard that knife prices there tend to be "full list price" or very close to it, and that the laws on carrying and transporting knives are fairly strict. At the very least do some further research.

To all the already mentioned knives I add the G-10 Civilian in plain (even in Japan very rare) :)

And let's not forget the "K" model. Just like a Pro Grip with a Delica blade. I understand it evolved into the Pilica (or Pirka, if you like).
