This knife was a cool project I made in between orders and it has brought e great memories of the knives I used to make very early in my career. I never stopped maing Japanese style wrapped handles but this one has the full treatment - genuine same (ray skin) decorated with two aged metal menukis depicting the “shishi dog” of Japanese mythology (one of my prefered themes for menuki) and wrapped in real black ito that was resin soaked for improved resistence.
The 4 1/2" long chisel ground blade was cut from a damascus steel bar forged by my friend bladesmith Cassio Becker years ago and it has a bold, very old school random pattern. After etching, it was lightly polished so it has a bright finish and a lighter contrast that I though would better match the whole project.
This knife will have a kydex sheath with clip and will make a great cc piece.
US$ 345,00 plus US$ 20.00 for shipping.
Paypal welcome!

Nice , I am waiting for a Greg moffat piece and was very tempted to ask if I could get some menuki involved . But I couldn’t find anything other than genuine antique pieces that would’ve doubled the cost .
