This is a fantastic midsize petty knife that is a great choice for many kitchen tasks where a full size chef knife would not be appropriate.

The blade is made from O1 and is heat treated to 61 HRC. I performed all heat treating operations.

The blade features a practical satin finish. O1 is reactive and will take a very nice patina over time.

The handle is constructed from African Blackwood and Cocobolo. It's highly finished, but not slippery and feels great in the hand.

The geometry is fantastic and cuts effortlessly. The blade features a full flat grind and is .08" at the thickest point, but still stiff. The edge is extremely thin, making it a fantastic cutter. I sharpened this knife to 6,000 grit, then stropped it on leather.

This is a high performance kitchen knife that is a pleasure to use.
