Japanese sen questions

My cross-section looks similar to the pic James linked to in his OP.
I use it like a drawfile but apply pressure in both directions. The angle of the cutting edge to the work surface is just shy of 90 deg. There is no tilting of the sen but I do lean the pressure to the leading edge.
 
Ok, thanx Rick. I am going to try a Bo-Hi style sen without the handles, held like a paring chisel. Since I would be using it for small pieces like razors I wouldn't need the clearance afforded by the handles.
