I would like to trade this wonderful Japanese sword for a Busse Ruck or AK-47. A user Busse is just fine! The overall length of the sword is 37” and the blade to the tsuba is 27”. The blade does not show a distinct hamon (that I can see.) The scabbard is enameled steel. The tsuba is plain, undecorated steel. The grip appears to be white ray skin under the wrap. One of the wooden pins holding the grip in place has been lost.
I have found out that this is a WW2 katana, probably an NCO sword.
