For those who are interested. Jim Crowell is using a Japanese Sword at the ABS Cutting Competition this weekend and I expect he will do very well with it. The competition will be open to all types of blades- including swords and axes. Should be interesting to see this blade in action... and yes, Jim already sold the one he is using in the competition.

There is a is a good line-up article in Tactical Knives that mentions several of the makers listed in this thread.
