Jason Knight Demonstration

The Haywood Community College facility has a great set-up for forging. I was lucky enough to attend the first Great Smokey Mountain Symposium there.

It's nice to see pictures of my buddies, Bill Wiggins, JS and Dan Warren, JS, both great makers and great people.

Jim,

There was a very unusual knife on display at the demo. It was called the "Sneaky Jim" model. I think you are going to like it!!

Bill,

I can't wait to see it finished.

"Sneakey Jim" is a very, very, very nice knife.

Yes, Bill Wiggins, she has caught a bigger Tarpon than I did once......well alright, twice. In the interests of staying on topic, I am going to from refrain bringing up your performance as a saltwater fisherman. I'm sure you are relieved.

Roger got it at 2008 Blade and I was able to obtain it from him. It is a terrific piece of knife sculpture.

Kevin,

Yes, Clyde is about 15 minutes west of Asheville. And that is the same facility used for the ABS classes. The demo was held in the grinding area, and they also have a blacksmith shop, as well as class room areas. It is a nice facility for sure.

Thanks Bill.
Like to make it down there to the Intro Class sometime in the future.
