I never liked the cheap plated blade letter opener kits the pen turning companies sell for turning handles for to compliment custom pens so we put these little kits together for letter openers, pizza cutters, cigar holders, keyrings, and a host of other items. I just couldn't see spending the time and expense of making a custom letter opener from fine wood or other materials just to put a $6 pot metal blade on it.
I based the original blade kits on the little dirk knives made by a host of Sheffield companies like Joseph Allen, J Rodgers, G Woodhead, etc. in several different blade shapes
We also tried scaling them up 50% to offer a big and little set
I started a year ago with three kits, the clip point, dagger, and "Searles" style, and have been adding to the line since then. Recently we tried some test shots of full tang blade kits as well
Made from 1095C & 15N20 Damascus steel. Heat treated to 56-58 hardness
