So, I just got my 15 inch 27 ounce villager fit and finish chiruwa Ang Khola by Murali with a Satisal wood handle. I understand that there is rouge on it, but is there a coating of oil or something like that on the handle as well? It's so ridiculously smooth already that it made me wonder.

If it's not villager finish and there is rouge on it the handle has probably been buffed, this will make it smooth like you say.
