For attaching handles?

I use g-flex primarily, and havent been disappointed, however I have to order more and my two go to places are sold out. I like that jb weld has a very good long track record and is available locally.

Any of you guys used it with success? I wont put it on if it will compromise my product, but I am intrigued.

Thanks for any input

I remember reading the glue wars, I just cant remember if jb weld was used.

I don't remeber JB Weld being part of the gue wars but, unlike AccraGlass which I think did really well, when JB Weld dries it looks dull gray and so may not be optimal for that reason.

I have used JB weld for 20 years for attaching antler handles to rat tail tang knives with no failures

I have used JB weld for hydraulic cylinder patching on damaged rods on forklifts. I keep a set in the house for whatever it will work on.

JB wasn't among the best performers in glue wars for attaching scales to full tangs, but it did very well bonding metal to metal. I use it instead of solder for N/S or stainless guards on narrow tangs. You have to beat on it pretty hard to get it to come loose.

Yeah JB weld was part of the glue wars, did ok like mentioned for handles. However works great for bolsters and such when you dont want a shiny color at the joint- think damascus with wrought iron bolsters. Wouldnt want a shiny solder joint on something like that so the JB fits great.
