Has anyone dealt with JD Cutlery? The anodizations on the knives are wonderful but I cant find any feedback from buyers.

From what I can gather it’s operated by Jeff Perkins and there are a few positive reviews, nothing negative except for lack of communication at times - though I’m certain that running a business can make it difficult to always respond in a timely fashion.

I'd agree with that assessment. I have one of his ZTs. Great job on the ano, great price (only a few bucks more than the retail version). He does a good job reassembling the knives, although using some thick grease that doesn't get the most out of the bearings - I'd recommend cleaning it out when you get it, and using some proper bearing lubricant. Communication can be spotty at times - I assume the ano work is a side job for him.

If you're ordering something he has posted, you should be good to go, but might need to wait 2 or 3 days for him to ship. If you're asking for something custom made for you, then you might need to wait for a while, but you only pay when it's ready to ship. Either way, I wouldn't have any concern ordering from him again.

Just to add, if you're looking for custom anos on production knives, check out USA Made Blade as well. They offer a very similar service, albeit only on USA made blades - no Reates or the like.
