This is my first time posting for sale here, so I’m offering a few folding knives at special prices for Bladeforum members. The prices include Fedex Economical insured shipping. I am a full time knifemaker working in Merida, Yucatan Mexico. I ship knives back to the US on a regular basis via FedEx. I accept Paypal and do not charge extra for using it.

I use almost exclusively local handle materials that I gather and mill or process myself. Dense tropical hardwoods as well as wild and ranched deer, cow, bull and water buffalo horns.

The silver escutcheons are made from old Mexican silver coins and are pinned through the liners. You can still see some of the surface irregularities of the coins. All of the pins are nickel silver and are hammered over and left slightly proud of the handle. The decorative file work and carving are precise and carefully done, but you can also see that it was done by hand – I don’t sand or polish the file-cuts.

The blades open with a medium-easy pull, are flush open and closed and have no half-stop. The blades are all flat ground with a belt satin finish and are supplied shaving sharp.

Please checkout my website for more information about my work JDWARE KNIVES.

If you want to purchase a knife or have questions or comments, post here, pm me, or contact me through my website.

I’ll also be posting some kitchen knives in the next couple of months.

Thanks for looking
J

Hello JD,
I will take the Red Deer slip joint. I will PM or email you in a bit about shipping and payment.
Thanks.

Russ

Those are outstanding!
Nice tip of the hat to Mr. Bill Scagel there.

Water Buffalo is sold. Thanks

I do admire Scagel's work. I like the simplicity of the designs and materials. And their directness and honesty. I think his work has a lot of character, too. Those are not easy things to do.

Very nice work! I received it today and the fit finish quality of materials exceeded my expectations! The details of packaging, lanyard and pocket sheath are icing on the cake.
