This is a sweet little Very Small, Slip-Joint Pen-Knife with a 1.75 flat ground blade with a belt satin finish. Blade and spring are of 1/16 D2 steel. Closed length - 2.5 including the lanyard loop. Backspring is flush open and closed and has no half-stop. Supplied shaving sharp.
The handle is beautiful Red Deer Horn from Yucatan that I process myself. Nickel Silver liners and pins. Silver 1926 ten-centavo escutcheon. Handmade vintage leather pocket sheath.

Although the knife opens with a very easy pull, not enough of the blade spine is available to pinch open. Its a very small knife - so if youve got very large fingers and/or very short nails, this may not be the knife for you.

I use almost exclusively local handle materials that I gather and mill or process myself. Dense tropical hardwoods as well as wild and ranched deer, cow, bull and water buffalo horns.
The silver escutcheons are made from old Mexican silver coins and are pinned through the liners. You can still see some of the surface irregularities of the coins. All of the pins are nickel silver and are hammered over and left slightly proud of the handle. The decorative file work and carving are precise and carefully done, but you can also see that it was done by hand I dont sand or polish the file-cuts.
