We try to support companies which support BF by not promoting their competitors,I don't want to run afoul of the advertising rules, but it is Camber. https://www.gq.com/story/camber-the-worlds-best-hoodie
Levi and Wrangler predominate this item in this area.
It looks like you would sound like Sam Elliot![]()
Thanks, here let me swallow a handful of gravel with my coffee then I'll reply, ok there we go: "Ya bet." How was that, pretty close? It looks like you would sound like Sam Elliot
Awesome pics and take along's as always!
I think it's the retailers too, and them knowing their market. We do have a western store locally, well down the hill, in Bakersfield, called the Emporium. They've been doing this since 1909 I believe the sign says on their wall. While not as big as the two Boot Barns in Baks, they tend to have more of what I'd be looking for. Not so much silly fringy stuff that the Boot Barns tend to carry. I go to a Boot Barn and I don't know anybody. I go to the Emporium and run into other ranchers and cowboys. Last time I was there ran into a guy and made a deal on some elk sheds he had for trade. I use em for knife handles.Knowing your market.
Aw shucks what's a guy say to that, except thank you!Sam Elliot wishes he was as cool as Horsewright...
not to me. pics they have on their website all look way too baggy and sloppy lookin. also super pricey. Great made in usa, but still too pricey. ill take my mexican made wranglers over them. never had a pair split on me and I wear them ragged and hard. Those $20 ( now $25 here ) Wally World wranglers used to be my Go-to, but it got to a point where every pair would split down one of the ass pockets in less than a year because they have added far too much spandex to them.
I just can't bend over in them.
The last time it happened was in the middle of the hardware store, I'm not wearing that imported Wranglers garbage anymore.
The wranglers I was buying for work were the worst of all.
Their cowboy cut jeans are much better, but the pockets are unusably tight access.
Diamond Gussett jeans are miles ahead and worth every penny.
They're more comfortable due to the special seat gussett and more generous fly, they have a higher rise waist so your shirts will stay tucked in better, and more durable because they're made of a 15oz denim with no spandex in it as well as having larger pockets with much thicker more durable pocket bags.
And on top of all this they're made in America out of American milled denim.
I could buy 3 pairs of the crappy Wranglers for one pair of the AA100's from AAC.CO , but I'd have to worry that my pants would split on me in the middle of a store even if I got a little more total wear out of the 3 pairs and that's a big If.
I'd rather have 1 pair of DG's for every 3 pairs of Wranglers I'd need to buy and never have to worry that they're going to fail on me.

The legs are on the wide side, but the AA100's are just about right really.not to me. pics they have on their website all look way too baggy and sloppy lookin. also super pricey. Wow, this was 15 months ago and I just remembered that I had offered a free knife to someone who could point me to a source of supply that could fit my son. There’s some great info in this thread - thank you!
Let me run this one by you all: I'm having an EXTREMELY hard time finding pants to fit my 17 year old. He's young, tall, high waisted, and there isn't an ounce of fat on him - he wears 29 or 30 x38. No, I didn't type that backwards like Google always thinks when I search for pants for him. He wears a 38 inch inseam, and has a 29-30 inch waist.
The only jeans we have found that come close to fitting him - the only ones that sell a 29 or 30 x 38 are Wrangler Cowboy Cut, but even those don't have a high enough rise so he has a very uncomfortable wedgie all the time (I'll spare you those pictures) - but at least the length is correct.
The only pants he owns are several pairs of the Wrangler Cowboy Cut jeans and one that are vintage from eBay and khaki colored (they apparently don't make the khaki color in that size anymore) to wear when jeans aren't appropriate (still denim, but at least a different color). And he has a suit we had to have custom made for him for Sunday's, weddings, funerals, etc. That's it, those are all the pants he owns. Those are all the pants we have found in his size.
I'll send a free knife to the first one (maybe multiple people depending on response) who can turn me on to a source of 29-30x38 men's pants with a rise high enough to fit my son without giving him a wedgie. Bonus for non-denim khaki and dress pants.
Please! Don't let me down, Blade Forums!

thank you much, but I dont feel i can accept credit for this. think it was...... in no particular order .....horsewright and bp_ and sharp and fiery, maybe another person...... who talked about cinch first. I dont remember who posted first on this brand but it wasn't me. so doesnt feel right to take credit for it. I do appreciate you giving me credit and prize for it.....but I dont feel I put in the effort to win it.Wow, this was 15 months ago and I just remembered that I had offered a free knife to someone who could point me to a source of supply that could fit my son.jbmonkey ’s suggestion for Cinch jeans worked! The Green Label are a relaxed fit with a traditional (high) rise. The 30x38’s were too tight in the waist so we had to send them back and get 32x38’s, and those fit him as well, or better, than the 30x38 relaxed fit cowboy cut Wranglers. The Wranglers are not always in stock, so the Cinch jeans appear to be the only source on the planet he can order jeans from when he needs them.
JBmonkey, thank you! Send me a DM with your address and I’ll put a Buck 112 Slim Select in the mail to you.
And in case anyone else is in the same boat as my son, a friend off the forum here pointed us to a website named American Tall that sometimes has khaki pants that fit my son. His suits still need to be custom ordered.
