Jeep Wrangler?

All 2007 Wranglers come with a 3.8-liter V6 engine capable of 202 horsepower and 237 pound-feet of torque. It's connected to a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional four-speed automatic.
That's for the '07 models; '06 and before may not have 4-speed automatics. And I note that the engine has changed from the 4.0 I6 to a 3.8 V6; when did this happen?

MY good friend has had several... he is a fan of the automatic and we have been across all sorts of farm and woods with his. He runs sixes. I would have one but they are "tight" for us little guys... I would still rather have one of them for 5000 and under than a new four wheeler though :D Tight for me or not if the right deal falls in my lap I'd have one. Oh and another friend has a 4 cyl auto and he does 4wd with the big dogs... he goes to the dunes and all. He can't do alot of the insane stuff and wants the 6 cyl but he makes due with his. He did add a winch though....

Yes Trout Tamer, it is true, the inline 6 is dead for '07. The engine ,thought by many, to be one of the most sound and reliable ever built, has been discontinued...............Now I have to wipe the tears from my keyboard and crack open another fifth of jack D..

I saw something online about a test engine at the Chrysler factory...an I6 that has been running nonstop for like 5 years or something like that? They change the oil on the fly with an input and output valve.

Anybody have more info on this? My I6 Cherokee had 186k on her when I sold it, still had plenty of miles left.
