In February I placed an order thru Jeff Baker for a slightly customized S-Tac. Jeff spent lots of time, and I mean hours, helping me figure out which steel and handle materials were best for me. Settled on black micarta, and an S30V blade.

The knife arrived yesterday, and it is awesome! Amazing ergos, perfect size, fantastic workmanship, and a grind that begs to be worked hard!

I would recommend Jeff Baker for his service and product in a heartbeat!

That S-tac is so slick. I've been eyeing it for awhile now. Size is right at my sweet spot for a fixed blade. Reverse tanto, so perfect for just about anything. Great score man!

Thanks brother!

The size, stock thickness, and grind are all as perfect as I could ask for (for my tastes). IMO, the reverse tanto tip is significantly underutilized.

Very nice looking knife - the lines on that are quite unique, great to see.

I suspect Jeff will be getting more airtime here, will be contacting him myself.

Nice choice of materials also - I like the handle choice and hopefully he is ok to do something in carbon steel...

Jeff is awesome to deal with. He tweaked his standard Sidekick EDC to match my OCD, and then crafted an S-Tac to match it. The Sidekick EDC had awesome ergonomics, but because it wasn't get much use, I gave it to a family friend. Jeff is an awesome craftsman and extremely responsive. I can't recommend him enough.

I should also mention that this is the sharpest pocket knife I've ever owned. It's on par with my Shun kitchen knives, which are well beyond any other knife I've ever experienced (CRK, Hinderer, Spyderco, Benchmade, and a number of customs).

I had to cut a pair of heavy denim jeans off a patient at work yesterday. The S-Tac cut those jeans like a hot knife thru butter. Just insane.
