looking to get a knife to practice/learn bushcraft skills with . i'm 54 , a newbie and don't want a plastic and rubber mora even though my money is tight . i do like the older looking knives with leather sheaths along with the schrade brian griffin designed 55 , 42 & 9 . the condor kephart ($33 @ walmart) is also on my radar but i'm thinking if i can afford 1095 steel over it's 1075 for just a few more bucks that i should go that route . here's a link to a review of it .

http://www.jackrussellleather.com/Jeff-White-Bush-One-Knife-Comes-with-Leather-Sheath_p_131.html < that place has the JWBO for $45 shipped with the leather sheath but i can't find any info on if they're a safe company and i'm a bit leary because they don't answer thrir phone or e-mails in the past week . they don't say , but going by the pic and the price it looks to be the maple wood and not the curly oak in most every pic . has anyone here done business with jack russell leather or know if they're a safe business to deal with or have any experience with the bush one or other jeff white knives ?
thanks , jeff
