I finished this hunter up and throught I would get you alls opinion.
Its made from 3 different jelly roll billets, that I stacked, cut, cubed and welded 2 times. Oal 8 1/2" - 3 7/8" blade. N/S guard spacers and pommel, handle and spacer are stabilized buffalo horn.
Look at the close up, it looks pretty cool.

Thanks
Bill

bill, that is a great pattern and knife. the damascus seems to have two eyeballs and a face in the middle of the blade. i love it!

Very cool!! I like the subdued makers stamp , it doesn't take so much away from the blade . Great looking Damascus and knife as a whole .

That is a very dramatic pattern you achieved. I realy like it :D What are the materials in the billet?

Thanks guys, Laredo, go ahead and make up your billet and draw it out to whatever wide you want, I made mine 1" wide and flattened to about 1/8", then, heat the last couple inches of your billet to welding heat, fold about 3/8" or so of the end over on its self, keeping it as tight as possible, do the folding thing again, now as you keep bringing the end up to welding heat, be sure and keep it good and fluxed, take a pair of big channel lock pliers and start rolling, this works the best with 2 people, but I did this by myself so it can be done. Just be sure to keep it tight as possible, stop and tighten up the billet from time to time useing your hammer, then take it to your press and squareing dies and weld it all up , welding it round. Nothing to it.

Matlock, steel was 1084 and 15n20

Thanks

Bill

Press? Squaring Dies? What are those? ;) :D

More equipment that I need.....will it ever stop? I better start shopping for next X-mas:)

Wow Bill; that is cool, why didn't your tell me about this when in the room tonight..or shoot me a pic. Nice bold pattern! Maybe it's the meds, but clearly see a native American or possibly an Inca image of a man holding someting up there in the middle..way cool.:-)

Thats a sweet one Bill. I see the wicked witch of the west in the pattern. How did you do that?

Great Pattern. You make it sound easy. I bet it is just a little harder and more time consuming to do. But your efforts paid off very nice.
