SOLD
Batter up! Here is another familiar piece to the forum. I had the Paul Long sheath added to this set after I received it as part of a trade. Details as follows:
Blade length: 8.75 in.
Total length: 13.50 in.
Blade width: 1.76 in.
Blade: Differential ladder pattern Damascus forged from 1080 and 15N20 carbon steels
Bolster: 416 stainless steel
Handle: Mammoth ivory with a nickel silver pommel
Sheath: Kathy Anders diamond back rattlesnake skin wrapped wood sheath with nickel silver fittings
Description: The 9 in. long blade was forged by Jerome using 1080 and 15N20 carbon steels. The differential ladder pattern was forged so as to have a defined ladder effect toward the spine with flattened layers approaching the edge. The blade has been lightly heat blued for an iridescent effect. A Damascus 'shell' forms an arch over the blade -- forged from matching Damascus. The oval guard and ferrule are both formed with 416 stainless steel. The mortised handle is formed from exhibition grade fossil mammoth ivory. Light caramel tones form the background with significant blue and green veins. The handle is finished off with a nickel silver pommel-plate. The accompanying sheath was made by Kathy Anders, Jerome's wife. A wooden sheath was wrapped with rattlesnake skin and is finished off with a nickel silver throat and tip. The sheath has been perfectly fit to the Bowie.

Again thank you for looking, Jon
