About a year ago I saw some of Jerry's work and decided to have him make me a sword blade. I just wanted the blade so I could later have a custom handle made for it. I emailed him through a friend of his since he did not have a computer. He called me and we talked. He told me that it would be 6-8 months. He said that he did not need a deposit. So in May of 2001, I received a call from Jerry and he said that the sword was about done and that all that was left was a shirasaya holder and a final polish. He said that it would take about two weeks for the saya and about 10 days for the final polish. He said to go ahead and send the money and he would ship the sword when done. About week and a half later, I received an email from his friend asking me if I could send the money to Jerry via overnight mail. He said that Jerry was going to the blade show and just needed it to sure up some things. I agreed and sent the money. That was the last time I heard from Jerry. I have been in contact with the friend several times however not with Jerry. I contacted the Postal Inspectors because I used USPS money orders. I am just waiting to hear from them. I have come to the comclusion that my money is gone, I just did not want anyone else to get sucked into his lies.

This is the last address I have for him and it is where I sent the money.

So has the friend talked with Jerry and does he know anything about what has happened?

Sorry you have had this problem. Things like this tend to leave a bad taste in ones mouth. I hope things work out for you, but it doesn't look good.

"The friend" has spoken with Jerry, at least that is what I have been told. Jerry just has not contacted me.

DEJA VU!!!!! different name, but the same method. My hard learned VERY expensive education went something like what you posted. I hope it works out in your case. I waited too long, hoped too long, and sadly believed the third party. Maybe THIS will work out, but I suggest jumping on the Law Enforcement band wagon sooner rather than later. in EVERY State this is "Theft by Deception"
