I hope you can too Cobalt!

My kin,
They're nice folks...
But they always have some scam...
We're all car crazy...
The kid thinks he's getting my Super Bee when I kick the bucket...
Hah!

I'm 51, maybe in the future my nieces or my "nephews I call H&H will
have some kids I can spoil & teach them to drive a 4-speed...
DRIVE a 4-Speed!

Good chatting with you Cobalt!

After reading the above thoughts I feel fortunate that my Children all Grown and married have my same interests. They grew up with a healthy respect for game animals and learned about hunting and shooting at the range. They have their own Busse Knives many as gifts from me. They understand my knife and gun collection so they will be the curators of the collection and the "Trust" will protect my more valuable class 3 items from Gubment seizure. I believe that Busse Knives will carry on long past my time so long as Bossman continues to crank out sketches to be stored as the Forsaken models we are seeing....VERY COOL

Good to read about a nice loving family!
Having such great kids speaks volumes about the parents!
In your case, top notch!
All the best to you & yours Busto!

My Biggest fear is that if/when I'm gone, My wife will sell my knives/guns For what I told her I payed for em lol

So a while back,on a phone call with my dad, who lives in another state, he told me there was some junk in the garage that belonged to me. Of course mixed in with his junk. I asked what it was and he said a few knives and bike parts. He told me if I didn't want anything in the tubs that he would sell it at the garage sale. I told him to take pictures of all my stuff in the tubs and send it to me. So he did. three tubs. Here is one picture. Thank god we talk often.

No kidding, very similar to the time he sold my $500 skateboard for 5 bucks at a garage sale, while I was gone that weekend. Lets just say there is a pattern there

6, did I tell how much of a Mopar freak I am? :D ~ My first car, a 67 Newport - a 65 valiant - 68 Belvedere (poor man RR) 69 Charger - 80 PowerWagon (Yes it was a Simon&Simon) -- but only 51? Damn, you're going to outlive me LOL!
My wife is going to have one hell of a yard sale one day but I'll leave her a *sealed* letter - she can be mad later but boy, that will be the yard sale to be at~she has no clue, none and that's by design ;)

Me too man...
I'll pm you one of these days and we can talk some Mopar!

You guys who have kids to pass things onto are very blessed! I hope someday my little one will be able to fulfill that role for me. I've definitely got some pretty nice blades to pass along. I can't even imagine them being sold off for dollars on the penny. Too terrible to contemplate.

I have had similar thoughts. Can you imagine our SHBMs being sold for $20 each at a garage sale?

Imagine my shbm's going on sale at my local craigslist for $20 obo. Lol

I got a bit too excited at these posts......

Yes, yes I can imagine!!!!!

On a side note, I have knives from my paternal Grandfather (a pocket knife I remember him carrying and using, and knives he used to butcher his own livestock), my wife's grandfather, and a gun from my maternal grandpa. I have given quality slipjoints to my dad and my wife's dad to pass on to my own boys. They will get some nice heirlooms when they are older. (Dad has a gun or two from his dad to pass on as well).
