I am offering for sale, a very special Jerry Fisk Bowie. This knife has the very blade that Jerry traced to make the pattern for the Camillus/Fisk OVB Bowie. It has the exact same blade shape that Camillus used on their version. The handle and guard are different, maybe for cost of production reasons, but I really have no idea. Jerry probably knows, but I never asked.
The knife will come with the certificate of authenticity that Jerry provided with the knife and a very basic Rowe leather sheath that was also provided. I also will give the new owner the email conversation between Jerry and myself from when I purchased the knife. That conversation tells the whole story. This is a one-of-a-kind Fisk Bowie, which also has a heck of a provenance to go with it. The knife would be a very special center-piece to a collection of Camillus OVB Bowies, or really, any Bowie collection. Jerry stated that the knife tested very well, so it has been used, by him, sort of.
I have enclosed a couple pics of the knife, each showing a side. The knife is in as-new condition, as you would expect a knife like this would be kept. The price will be, plus the cost of Express Mail shipping. I'm not taking any chances with this special knife getting lost. CONUS sales only. Payment should be USPS money order or PayPal(+3.5%). No trade offers please.
If someone would like to have the 4-piece set of Camillus Bowies I am selling on the forum, to go with this knife and have a complete set, I will sell all five knives for $? shipped.
The knife is now going to be listed on other venues. Jerry's work is pretty scarce on the secondary market, but there is something else I would really like to have without spending other funds. If you've ever wanted to own a Fisk, this is your chance to get one without a multi-year wait, and one with a very special provenance.
Here are the pics, taken with a Camillus OVB Bowie(1 of 300 commissioned by AG Russell with Bubinga handle) for comparison.
