FOR SALE is this large Jerry Fisk bowie. If you are looking at this knife, you certainly know that Jerry needs no introduction when is comes to bowies. He is certainly one of the most talented Master Smiths out there, not to mention a real gentleman.
It has been in my collection for about 12 years. The Damascus blade is 10 1/4" long and is razor sharp. The top clip is sharpened. The blade is 1 3/4" at the widest point, and is 1/4" thick. The overall length of the knife is 15 5/8".
The handle is fossilized walrus ivory that has been stabilized. There is a crack that runs the length of the handle. It is more visible on the FISK side of the blade as opposed to the MS side. It is solid as a rock. The crack occurred not too long after it was acquired at the Guild Show in 1996. It has not changed appearance in the last decade. Jerry suggested that it not be replaced. The walrus ivory is so special, that doing anything to it would detract from the knife's appearance and value.
There is extensive work on the guard and matching ferrule. And Jerry has done a superb job with the added work on the pommel. This is one of his best. It comes with a padded zippered case. There is no sheath.
Price is SPF Postal Money Order (preferred) or PayPal (no fees). Includes insured shipping in the CONUS.
I am not interested in any trades. I do have high resolution pictures if you are interested. Please feel free to ask me any questions. This one has got to go...unfortunately.
Thanks for looking.
