Both of these terrific knives are "as new", they have never been carried, or used in any way and have remained in their cases since receipt. I am the original and only owner.........
Jerry Halfrich "one off", I believe............ I don't know if the knife has been named but I have never seen another like it and don't think Jerry named it.......I have never seen the frame or blade profile or the state of Texas shield in this combination or perhaps at all. The frame profile is sort of a cross between a Back Pocket and a Hunter, and the blade profile is a modified Spear Point with a terrific swedge.
The blade is 3 1/2" of hand rubbed CPM-154.........the OAL is 8 1/4".......the black linen micarta scales are hand jigged by Jerry.........the State of Texas shield is double pinned 416 SS. There is a half-stop and the back-spring tension is about a 7 on a 1-10 scale. And of course the edge is so sharp I have nightmares about the potential blood letting
Reduced......SOLD......inclusive of Priority Mail shipping, (CONUS), a case if I can find one, and the pictured Fuzzy Edge braided leather lanyard with micarta bead.
Next up is a more traditional slip joint but there is nothing ordinary about it.
The Ryu Kawamura two bladed Gunstock's Overall Length is 5 3/4", the blades are hand rubbed ATS 134. The main, spearpoint blade is 2 5/8", and the secondary pen blade is 2".
The scales are wonderful antique brown bone and look more like Remington bone than just about any I have seen before. The double bolsters and double pinned shield are 416 SS.
The fit, finish and action are among the best of any knife maker's, and I believe Ryu's work places him, (arguably), among the top 4 or 5 slip joint makers in the world, think the Boses, Overeynder, Terry Davis etc.
SOLD.........and as above the price is inclusive of shipping and case, we can discuss the PayPal issues.
Please No trade Offers, For Sale Only, Thanks.
