Got this in the mail yesterday and have had it in my back pocket ever since

4 1/2 closed, jigged paper micarta by Jerry, rounded bolsters and fluted,
CPM154CM blade steel.

Nice knife James.That sure is a perfect high performance answer to jigged bone with those scales.Jerry sure does that nice.

Outstanding!! I would have never thought of jigging micarta, but it looks great, and you get the durability and light weight over bone.
 
As mentioned in the plastic knife scales thread, I hate when plastic (derlin) handles are jigged/molded to look like jigged bone.

But I love the micartas, CF and G10. Jigging micarta is a great idea and looks great here. An added bonus to an already great handle material. :thumbup:

I'm sure glad i'm on Halfrich's list. :cool:
 
Thats a great looking BP (Scout) you have there James. In just looking at it, you would never know that the scales are not bone. Really like the bolsters that Jerry added.

That Sure is a Beauty !!!!!!!!!!! How Many Different Style Single Bladed Slipjoints does Jerry make ? This is the First time I have seen this Model . Great Score!!!!:):)
 
Thanks guys, but Jerry was the master mind of this one. We have talked about how I hunt and what I hunt, Jerry is a hunter and he knows what will and won't work for me. I must say he has hit the mark with this one.

I talked to Jerry today and next week I'm getting the 4-inch Winchester model with the same set up as James has. It was good of James to tip me off on the new options.
 
The first jigged micarta I recall seeing was on some hunters on P.J. Tomes website.
 
That's a real nice knife James. I'll bet it's good and grippy. :thumbup:
 
Got this knife in today from Jerry and I'm very happy with it. It is the 4-inch Winchester model with the same blade steel, fluted bolsters and jigged micarta scales that James' has on his knife. What everyone has been saying about Jerry I found to be true; great fit and finish, very sharp.
