I have here to offer FS a really nice trapper by Jerry Halfrich.
This knife has green canvas micarta scales. The pics I took are clear but are a bit dark, the micarta is green, all year long
. Thank you for your understanding and patience with my photography shortcomings.
This knife is 3.5" closed, and 6-7/8" open. The blade is 2-7/8" from the tip to the handle, with 2.5" of cutting edge.
It has smooth firm pull,I'd say 6 ,not a nail breaker but it's locked up,open. This is just how I like.Excellent walk n talk and fit & finish.
Stainless liners are mill relieved. Fancy shield is ss ,inlaid & double pinned,it has a satin finish on it just like how the Bose fella's do it & I like that too.
Blade is hollow ground,CPM 154 CM ss designated by the "5" on the backside tang stamp. It has a crescent nail pull, and a drawn swedge. The drawn swedge really sets this knife off,it looks really great,I wish we'd see more done this way.The blade has a hand rubbed finish on it & its screaming sharp, with Jerry's attention on that.
He got a real nice size blade in this knife & it is wide too, from spine to edge wise. I looked it over & I feel the stock thickness started out at 1/8" thick & was milled down to just over 3/32" IMO. if I had to call it. That makes a nice touch. It's a heavy duty knife ,full size knife capabilities in a small package. The blade grind on this is perfect, too.
The condition is pre owned & the owner said he carried & used it. I can't see anything on it that I feel I need to disclose as far as marks,or scratches. I am calling it pre owned very excellent condition.
A great opportunity here to get a fantastic knife from Jerry Halfrich, avoid his wait list time . I am very confident that whoever buys this knife will be so pleased,it is a great EDC custom hand made slipjoint folder,I am very tempted myself
