Jerry Halfrich

The blade steel is ADD or something..Oh no wait,I have that...It is a new ss,a powder steel,like a 154CPM,all I know is it's like a razor

Jerry uses a single digit or letter on the blade to indicate what steel it is. Here's the ones I know:

A = AEB-L
D = D2
5 = CPM 154
V = 440V

I just took delivery of a Halfrich semi skinner in stag. Came with mosaic pins, and a Paul Long sheath, lined with deerskin and sporting a diamondback insert. Both knife and sheath are awesome. Knife was marked with a "D" with a dot under it. That new designation is for the new powdered CPM D-2.

Anyone up for a 3.5 inch shadow trapper with carbon fiber or g10 handles, no metal liners? Jerry's thinking about making some up.

This one is in 154CM and older blue/black G-10.Came in today.

Jerry's work gets better with each and every knife. And his wait gets longer too.

Jerry is one to watch..every knife i see and handle confirms this.
Ed Im in for a Shadow if you are putting an impromptu list together

Jerry's knives are very nicely made, that's for sure.

Does anyone know why he calls that a Winchester BP? I thought that was a Remington pattern?

The handle is a spittin image of the remington. But the knife he made the pattern from was a winchester that he'd been carrying for many years. Tony says winchester didn't create the pattern orginally, but copied it from somewhere else. Can't remember who he attributed the original to. Also, the Winchester that Jerry based his on was a 4.5 inch knife. He's made some of the larger one, but the smaller, 4 inch version seems to be a lot more popular. Personally, I think the 4.5 rides better in my back pocket.

My name is somewhere on Jerry's list but I am probably still months away from the top. This thread is kind of a sweet and sour deal for me. I like seeing all the pictures but on the other hand they remind me that I have a good while to wait.:D

Hang in there the wait isnt Bose brutal..and you'll be really really Pleased with your knife
Jerry's Knives are the epitome of what we call Scary Sharp

here is a lockback off the Remington Guide pattern

Here is a shadow pattern wharncliffe with bark ivory scales. This too is scary sharp CPM-154 steel.

Beautiful folders you guys are showing. Thanks.

I'd like to know the size of these as they're shown if possible. :)

Rob, I feel your "sweet & sour" pain. I'm on the list also...kind of like being "half rich." :D

Does anybody know why he has cut the nail nick before heat treating on some and not on others:confused:

Here's the same 4" Winchester style BP in a shadow.I just thought I'd show you guys that are on Jerry's list,for ideas on your order.I think this is the first one Jerry did like this.

Had lunch with Jerry last week. The good news is that I came home with this 4 inch backpocket knife in cpm 154 and gcm. The bad news? I had to buy lunch. :p Oh, he showed me a prototype lockback that was just amazing.
