Jerry Hossom 8” Millenium Bowie – Destroyed!

Jerry - as usual - you make me laugh...

But that nice image of how it WAS before...almost made me cry...

But hey - what are evil friends for??

Whenever you want to test your knives - I am the man for you...and I promise to write a funny and insightful review about the attempts...

Jerry, that was a nice photograph but I wish that you hadn't
posted it. Before I was fascinated, now I'm nauseated. That
knife is too beautiful to destroy!

Don

that is exactly how I felt...

Rob - yep - I just think some can do it better than others...and faster...:D

Blilious,

Since it is unlikely you are going to do my suggested "regular vs Damascus" test -

I am inspired (expired???) - I am going to repeat your tests on my CRKT Mirage (should I use pencils for the test medium????????)

Anyway, I wouldn't call the knife "destroyed". It's been badly damaged, but with a grinder you could put again a useful point on that knife and use it again. It was something very commonly done.
You could do it and make another review on how the shortened knife performs. You could be surprised :)

That's a great idea! I guess I will have to do that...

And I will not be surprised if it performs well..broekn tip or not - it is still a Hossom CPM3V...

The thread headline was meant for dramatic purposes..:)

All I can say is WOW. That's one of the most brutal reviews I've read, and the pics literally made me cringe. Jerry, you make some fine knives. I can't wait until I can afford them.

That was very insightful and entertaining to read!!! I have never owned a Hoss but a few friends do, and they love them, what I have held they seem amazing. It seems that it held up pretty well for the tests... It gives me an idea of some tests I would like to do...

You could turn it into a Hossom Millennium "Tanto"......

I object vociferously at this outrageous conduct. ;)

Gadi,

Excellent review. Although, it was very painful to read. And the pictures...They made me cringe. Oh, the humanity... ;)

Actually I kind like the idea of getting amazing customs from makers for the sole purpose of checking their limits...but I'd have to get a keeper with them as well..

"and second- what is the new knife going to be?"

What else? A double-edged Duelist. 9" blade...

Bronco:
LOL :D

Joe Cop:

10x for the kind words.

You thought it was hard to read? Try actually doing that to your favorite knife...

Just wanted to see if the blade with the broken tip has been reprofiled. I want to know what it comes out as after the repair work.
