Seeing the size of the trees taken out by Sandy, both in my area and on TV my B11 is feeling a bit overwhelmed. Yes, I guess that we could use a chainsaw, but...where's the fun in that?
You are definitely the master INFI knife designer, Jerry...but maybe it's time for THE ultimate chopper... I'm thinking mebbe something like a...
*A nice wide BM or MOAB style INFI blade, over 18" long with a full height or very high blended saber grind, either way perhaps being just a little hollow ground, a spearpoint tip or mebbe a long clip point with your famous Busse Armor Tip, yeah...that would rock! ...And a choil just big enough to be useful, like on the ASH...or maybe none at all. I think that it needs a nice flat spine with minimal or no thumb ramp and it might also need a very decent front guard to keep hands where they belong.
* A nearly full beefy hidden tang with Res-c or some other heavy duty shock absorbent handle material over it, and long enough to comfortably 2 hand it if an extra hand is needed, with a tang tapering a little wider towards the pommel... Might be nice to have an exposed pommel reminiscent of something like the BAIII (tapering in up towards the spine) or something flat across like the SARsquatch if it could be done without taking away from handle comfort for long use sessions.
* Thin and just a lil' bit higher on the ol' Rockwell hardness scale please! ...No thicker than .20, but less would be nicer! Gotta keep it kinda light. A real wicked chopper...the perfect chopper for combating the "perfect storm" damage... Might be good for zombies too!
* You could coat it with that SandStorm color (although I'll take it in Sage, please!)
It ain't a Chuckette or anything...but it would be the next best thing... Yeah... The PSK-18. It just might be the Perfect Storm Killer & effective zombie chopper for these perfectly disastrous times...
...Am I askin' too much?
...BRING IT, Bossman!!!
I'm ready...
