JERRY, is this an apprentice.......................

The elusive Straight Handled Ergo Mistress!!!

There's a lot of really cool stuff in there if you weed thru the pic. :D

But IIRC... these were hraded to the scrap pile. :grumpy: :(
.

Yup :( few SHSJ's, Mean Streets, BAIII/ABA and my mind may be playing tricks on me but i think I see a SHBA with spine jimping!

I think we need a moment of silence for this scrap pile.

First, nobody named Tim Lawson ever worked at Busse.

Second, that looks like a Busse apprentice blade that NEVER should have left the shop as it was apparently ground with a chain saw!!! Just more proof that there was always a lot of drinking in the grinding room!!!!. . . . . It is 5160 steel.

We did sell off a ton of apprentice blanks like that, so the grind is slightly questionable but those are definitely straight handles made by us from the mid to late '90's.........

Is there coating between the handle slabs? If there is, then it is, most likely, not a Busse Apprentice blade. . . .

I would say that it is most likely (95% chance) that it came out of the Busse Shop.

Cool score!!!!

Jerry :D

I doubt those are BAIII's/ ABA's in that pile, maybe a similar design, but IIRC this pic was out long before the BAIII's/ABA's came into existence.

I dunno about the blade you bot, but that top one is an abomination and needs to be disposed of. I can do it for you, at the right price. Gimme that blade plus. . . . $50 for processing.

I'm a giver.

Nice find Tim...but damn is it ugly;)

Yes, I'll have to beat it like there is no tomorrow, then it will have a reason to be ugly!

I think Jerry really made it after a looooooooog night and too many CBLs, he just doesn't want to admit he can grind at my level!!!!!
