Jerry put up some sweet blades in the ganza, I have to buy some!
WWII or pre-WWII Japanese officer's kyu Gunto (old style army sword in janpanese). You can call it a dress sword, a commander's sword and etc.
In EXCELLENT shape, I doubt that you can find one nicer than this one.
Here are two examples of recent auctions of similar swords which I'd say are not in as good conditions.
EDIT: Edited out ebay links, which are prohibited in the for sale areas.
CODE 3

The sword was made with superb craftsmanship. It was made before the Japanese army started to cut corners because of lack of material and fund. I will post some detailed photos of the guard, then you will understand.
Ask for $825 shipped conUS. MO or paypal (add 3%)

Lee, can you post some pics of the nakago and also is this signed or is it mumei? What's the nagasa length?

I will post more photos when I get off work.
I will have to measure the sword for you later.

Forgot to answer the question of mei. I don't know. I haven't taken the sword apart to see the tang, but I suspect that this one is mumei.I am no expert on looking at forging details, so I can't say how it is made. I will post some photos of the blade so you can judge yourself.

Um, you do know that linking to your eBay auctions is not allowed, right?

Not trying to be an a**, but the rules are rather not clear:
"No auction spotting
We don't care if you have something on ebay. Post a price and either raise or lower it."

I'm not going to post any link or number here.

Not all rules are written therefore you may see some and not others. Take my word for it and the word of the site Admin that it is not allowed.
