Jerry Rados damascus?

LW, do you think these 17 people know what they have? Are they using them as an EdC without realizing what they have? Or have they passed on to the next world and it is sitting in a Good Will store for $12.97?

I'm pretty sure most of them do, they're here on BF. I only know of one that got used, a small.

Please PM me the address of that Goodwill store!

I know my Microtech RADOS LUDT is worth a pretty penny, won't ever take that out of the display case. BUT....I told myself a while back ever since I started buying high end/custom 1911 pistols, that I would sell my knife collection...and only keep knives that I plan to carry and use. Now....if a Sebenza with a Rados twist is going to cost me more than $600, I won't get it. And from what I am guessing, it will cost a lot more than that unless I get lucky. I had to make a decision, collect knives that I can play with and admire at home....or sell em and buy fine 1911s that are handmade and I can carry and use and enjoy them far far more. So....I sold off most of my Microtech custom knives. Most were special runs of 10. I will call CRK and see what they say about this kind of damascus...

Are most damascus knives made (Large) in 21 or 25??

Lol. Same question. And most importantly will they sell it to me? lol

I'm not sure about the commonality of my experience but I have almost never seen a Sebenza on the local ads or similar that was not 100% fake. There is one store in my area that sells a couple plain CRKs and one that sells a broader array and they don't even know where used ones might be listed. They don't accept trade ins. I figure the net is the only way to find rarities.

I'm sure sources are protected by collectors as I see a lot of knives show up on the forums in the incoming thread or similar and say to myself where the h e double hockey sticks did you find that?!?

So I figure the REALLY limited ones are not acquirable and focus on newer knives.

It seems to me though since the cancelation of the annuals, the introduction of the 25 and
now the Inkosi, CRK is moving away from the art knives and more towards working knives.

So that is going to make it even harder to find the rare older ones.

I miss Lisa's picks.

My first Sebenza was a small B&W ladder Damascus, pretty sure it was a Rados. I ended up returning it because I didn't like the rough feel when opening it, what a fool I was.
At least I replaced it with a Large UG Regular with a Spirograph Damascus Blade- sold that one too, yeah, I'm an idiot.

Is there a list or something of what kind of damascus/patterns or styles are available to order?? And tomorrow I get my 25...so I will be able to tell what I like better. I hope the darn UPS truck doesn't show up at 7pm....I hate that!

Currently the damascus patterns that can be ordered are Raindrop, Ladder, and Basketweave

WOW!!! So there is one out there! I looked high and low for one, only one I could ever find was my LUDT and it has a very similar blade size/shape. Is that knife real? I only ask because I am not familiar with Sebenzas that old. I WANT IT!!! Tell your friend she has someone interested in buying it please!!!
