The guys over in the Knife Maker section have really been doing a great job selling supplies, handle material, services, knives, etc.
I want to publicly thank them.
Those guys are doing great!
Jerry is working on getting his temporary electric service up so he can begin serious clean-up.
Now, since the destructive weather, we're all flooded out.
Been a bad week.
I forward all of the info to him as it comes in and when the dust settles, those who have helped in this time will all hear from him.
Thanks again, if you have helped.
Remember, even a little can help a LOT in a time like this.
When you're discouraged, it's nice to know that yours is not the only shoulder against the wheel.

just talked to jerry yesterday, pretty nice guy, he said donations can also be made directly to

jerry (at) radosknives.com via paypal

Karl, I sent you an e-mail with contact information for Alpha Knife Supply to help with you setting up an auction...did you get it?

I have a knife for auction and so does Dave Ellis....we are waiting on you to put something together. "I don't know how" is not going to cut it.

The CKCA sent out a check to Jerry at the beginning of the week.

I got permission to pass the hat at the Santa Barbara show next month for Jerry....that will yield some coin, I assure you.....

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Hello!

There will also be help from Germany. We talk just with the Moderators whether we may make an action for Jerry in the forum.

Greetings

Fortunately something positive has come form this unfortunate situation, as the CKCA board also decided to create a "Member Emergency Fund". In the future we will have funds set aside for such emergencies rather than having to pull donations from our operating account.
This fund will be build by CKCA members donating money and/or knives which will be sold or auctioned by the CKCA.

We do not allow auctions on this site without prior approval.

This is a terrible thing that happened, Jerry is a legend. Put together what you guys can, and I will put up a site wide announcement for it. Someone trustworthy needs to run it please... I don't want to see someone co-opting this for a scam.

Kevin,

We(the group here discussing this-that know better) would absolutely put together an auction offsite, but your offer of site wide announcement of said future auction is very appreciated, and we will take you up on it.

I said it in shop talk, but didn't realize this thread was here. I'm donating a knife to help Jerry out. The for sale thread is here. If one of you guys likes it, speak up! I set the price a little lower than I had initially intended to to get it to move, but all the $$ is going to Jerry.

Hi everyone, don't know too much on how to do this so please bear with me. I want to say thanks to all of you for your support and prayers during this disaster. Trying to get a building permit so don't know how long that will take, if i can get done. Gonna be interesting. Hope to see you in Atlanta if things go right...In the meantime, may God bless you all. Thanks

Jerry Rados

Good luck getting a new shop built.
I was Hangin with your/our buddy Mr Siska at our NCCA Club show. That 7 bar you donated and Jim built was incredible!!The Turkish twist is the best i've ever seen!!!
The club sure raised some good coin mostly because of it. I won third prize, and six or so but Naturally that sub hilt was picked first!!

Jerry nice seeing you here. If you ever pay Jim a visit, you and him should come down here for a visit and we can have a Mini Hammer In.:D
