This is a little late given the holidays. It is well deserved and I am a little disappointed in myself for not posting sooner.
TL;DR: Jesse Jarosz is one of the best that I've dealt with. He went above and beyond in getting my knife squared away.
Back in September, I traded into a Jarosz custom which already had vertical play. In advance of doing the trade, I contacted Jesse via the form on his website. Jesse replied on the same day. He tells me no problem. I send him the knife and he gets back to me with some history of the knife. Effectively, gives me options of either getting a new knife or cleaning the current one (it was the first framelock he made).
Since I view this as a user, I opt for a new knife. Jesse then lays out for me what's possible and the lead time for each. We talked about steels, blade styles, locks, etc. Finally we settled on one of his Ti Framelocks. Then he drew up a set of five grind options. I simply asked for a tanto with no recurve (at this point I was comfortable with just letting him do what he does.)
On around Oct. 10th we agreed on the particulars. Jesse needed about a month to take build the knife. On November 11th, he got the knife out.
I got the knife a few days later and man is it amazing.
