Here is another Bolo style inspired by the knives used at the JEST survival school. This one is a little shorter than the usual 11-12in blades. It is 15 9/16in overall with a10in blade(tip to handle). I used 1/4in thick 5160 for the blade stock. The bevels are full flat grinds and the tang has been drilled out to reduce weight. The edge has been convex ground with the edge finished off with a micro bevel. The handle scales are natural G10 with orange G10 liners and stainless steel tube fasteners. The slightly translucent G10 with the liners gives the handle a neat orange "glow". Will come with a black Kydex sheath with a Tek Lok. Price is $400 shipped in the US.

I don't have the scratch but one for the list .
what do you harden the 5160 to?

Oh my. That is a great looking bush knife. I am in the jungle six days a week and this is what I would carry.

I have a lot of custom knives and if I had to choose one this would be it. This is just a great performer and small enough to do the little stuff comfortably. Do yourself a favor and get one. I absolutely love mine.
