I'm getting ready to make a ss guard that is 1/8" thick, and i have made some from copper, brass and was wondering if you can do it with one of these saws too.

i don't see any problem with cutting SS with a Jewelers saw. what alloy SS stainless are you thinking about using.

A jewelers sawblade will cut it, but it could take a very very very long time and a lot of sawblades. Your standard metal cutting bandsaw is a far more efficient tool for this job.

or have it water jet cut by great lakes.
