I don't know a whole lot about traditional folders, other than I carry a few old school Case and Buck pocket knives. So bear with me while I try and describe this beautiful knife.
This is a JH Lloyd pocket knife. It's marked "Loreto" so if my research was correct, that means it was made at his Loreto Mexico house while he was down there fishing (what a life!) Not sure what steel it is, but through my research, I would guess it's 52100. It's very sharp! Pull is very hard and snaps at 1/2 open and full open. I really wanted to use this knife, but it's just too nice for me!
There are some very minute scratches on the right side (have to turn the knife just right in the sun to see them) and a few spots of discoloration near the tip on the right side as well. I tried to capture them with the camera, not sure they'll show up though.
Overall length is about 6 1/4" with a 2 7/8" blade (from tip to front of bolster)
First "I'll Take It" is the new owner of this beautiful knife!
